Red Bank: Landscape
When new dispensary opened in a 1930s former boat-building house in Red Bank, New Jersey, the owners sought to beautify the building and the area with a prominent full-wall mural. I was asked to paint a free but realistic rendering of a road beneath a canopy of live oaks, in keeping with the company name. I chose to reinforce the free-form canopy by rendering a purposeful shadow, broken by dappling sunlight.
